Artificial identity & Human reality (Art with AR & AI)
In my master's, I created an augmented reality photo exhibition about the Afghanistan's refugee crisis. I wanted to tell a personal story of a refugee settled in France. The intention was to make people more aware about how some refugees' lives are, without this person being recognizable. Since the story happens anonymously, but still shows faces to the viewer (generated with artificial intelligence) the viewer feels more involved in the personal story. After much research into interacting with art and marketing taboo subjects, I ended up with this art form, which can also be seen as a campaign. This project goes along with a master thesis and focused research.
Project briefing:
In this master we were completely free to use any interactive or immersive art form. However, it is recommended to experiment with new technologies. This is what I did by using both augmented reality and artificial intelligence in this project.

The following QR codes in the photos can be scanned for the augmented reality experience. Digitally, this one is less ideal than effectively printed displayed, but the AR works.
